Coming from a socioeconomically disadvantaged family in Brazil and growing up with very limited resources, I have found ways to step outside of that reality and travel the world. And by doing so, I realized that this has been a very powerful tool to escape reality and live my life to the fullest. I grew up in one of the largest Favelas (slums) in the country, and I have encountered profound meaning and purpose through the art and beauty of traveling.
I’m currently writing and sharing my 30 Under 30 Adventure-Favela Edition from the vibrant Irish capital. This has been one of the greatest expressions of my own version of success. 30 Under 30 Adventure-Favela Edition, the journey of how a poor boy from the slums visited 30 countries before 30 years old, was born out of a criticism of the idea heavily rooted in classism, capitalism and racism that you’re only successful when you become super rich. I am successful when I travel. And I’m happy with that.
I've been living in the Emerald Isle for a bit over two years now. I moved here, after living in the United States during my early twenties, to get a degree in Creative Writing and dive more into the rich and profound Irish literature, culture and history.
